Here at Racoon International, we understand these are very uncertain and unprecedented times for everybody. We are aware it may be a slightly worrying time for our hair extension clients who may now be unable to attend their usual rotation and maintenance appointments with their Racoon trained stylist.
Our Education team, alongside our Consultant Trichologist have put together some aftercare guidelines. For the time being, please adhere to the following below.
For the moment, please DO NOT attempt to remove your own extensions.
Where possible, carry on with your usual home care regime. Please consult your ‘Beyond The Salon’ booklet for more details.
Remember to brush your hair thoroughly and regularly. Ensure you separate the extensions daily (using your fingers) to avoid matting.
Continue to wash your hair as normal. Avoid products such as ‘dry shampoo’ which contain alcohol and will dry out the bonds causing shedding.
If you are overdue maintenance – Where possible, tie your hair up in a loose plait. This is the best way to ensure your hair will support the extensions and not add tension to the root area.
If you are wearing Luxe Bonds and are overdue rotation and the bonding is failing / shedding or bonds fall out – please don’t panic this will not damage the natural hair. Keep any bonds you lose and your Racoon expert may be able to reapply them when back in the salon.
If the Luxe Weft bonding is failing and the tapes slip out, this will not damage the natural hair. Please keep as these can be reapplied.
Luxe Link extensions should not fall out due to the nature of the bond. Please ensure that they are separated daily (using your fingers) to avoid matting, and your Racoon expert will be able to do a full rotation when back in the salon.
