Racoon Celebrity Brand Ambassador Alexandra Cane was with session stylist and Brand Ambassador Cinta Miller last week getting her Luxe Links removed ahead of a style change.
Worried that she might get a bit bored sitting in the chair for that long, she decided to do a live Q&A on Instagram taking all the questions that people have about Racoon Hair Extensions. And there were loads!
Here’s a round-up of some of the most popular things we get asked:
Q: How much do extensions cost?
A: It depends on lots of factors including which system you’re using and how long you want your hair to be. At a consultation with your nearest trained Racoonista, they will be able to give you a price estimate once you’ve discussed your hair in more detail.
Q: What heat protection products can you use on Racoon hair extensions?
A: We have our own Racoon Thermal Defence Spray, which you can buy from your salon or direct from our online shop here
Q: How long do extensions last?
A: Again, it depends on the system you’re using, but as a rough guide, if you attend regular maintenance appointments, Luxe Bonds and Luxe Links last at least six months and easily up to a year. Luxe Wefts can be removed, refreshed and reapplied on up to five occasions, providing correct aftercare has been adhered to.
Q: Do extensions damage your real hair?
A: Racoon extensions are scientifically proven by an independent trichologist to keep natural hair safe and damage-free.
Q: What colours are available?
A: We have up to 25 different colours available (dependent on the system you’re using), but our exclusive colour matching service means salons can order bespoke blends of shades to perfectly match your own hair.
Q: Can you go swimming in them?
A: Exposure to chlorine or chemicals in a swimming pool and salty sea water can have an adverse effect on the bonds, links or weft tapes. We don’t recommend that you swim regularly when you have hair extensions, but if you do, tie your hair up in a bun and keep it out of the water. If your hair does get wet, shampoo and condition as normal and dry your bonds, links or wefts thoroughly.
